Guess if physically I’m moving around so much, I might as well move my Blog somewhere.. haha.. normadic as I may sound, I’m actually quite sentimental about moving from Friendster to Blogspot. Yo yo, check it out! http://rollct.blogspot.com/

Something struck me when my roommate saw me typing away in my laptop and asked, "Are you writing a journal?" At that point of time, I was thinking I told myself before coming here, I’d be blogging all the way till I get back! But here I am, letting my days pass without putting action into words.. Well, few reasons for that: I wanted to put as much photos into it but then I realize that I don’t have to! Its just what it is.. an online journal! Anyways, friendster’s photo tools sucks big time. I end up spending 90% of my time adjusting the photos. That’s why you see most of my blogs the photos are all over the place. Still trying to formulate the best way to do this only to find out that I’ve exceeded the photo diskspace. Sucks some more.
Anyway, some interesting facts I’ve learned here. The famous cafe franchise Dome actually originated from Perth. Yes, from the loneliest city in the world, Perth. That’s why if you’re here, you’d probably see more of Dome than Starbucks or Coffee Bean.
Well, the next blog might be somewhere else. Wait for the updates. There will be more photos there..

This is my 1st time in Australia. Destination: Perth. From what I heard, Perth has always been synonymous to Kuching in terms of lifestyle. That’s why I was looking forward to being here cause Kuching has a special place in my heart.
As we reach the land mass of Aussie, I was intrigued by the colour of the landscape. I had imagined it to be fimiliar colour of green like in Malaysia. Its mostly brown land mass! However, since Deep was raised in Perth, he said it’s the greenest he’d ever seen in Aussieland. I found out later that’s the colour of bushland. Its all beautiful! I guess the view from the top is always nice. That’s why I want the front window seat for work!
Upon reaching our destination Perth, we loaded a whole wagon with our bags to the place we call home for the next (approx.) one year. I can’t imagine how all our bags fit into one small wagon!

Most of the cars here are fitted s
o that it can pull a wagon behind it. I guess that’s a good way to expand your car capacity. Unless you want to buy one of these trucks.. then I’m sure nobody would have issue with space…
Let the new downunder adventure begin!

Ok, now for a real food and drinks entry. If you think that only Heineken and Tiger breweries produce beers, think again. Here in the heart of Singapore, there’s a place where lots of drinkers would like to call home. I wonder if there’s any avid drinkers who ever broke into the brewery at night and drink their hearts out….
I was kindda surprised at the quality of the beer especially golden ale. Its smooth and even our friend Kenneth who says he doesn’t drink downed much and another guy who wish to remain anonymous drank a pint too much and thus nick named the ‘Malaysian Merlion’.
Food here are good especially the pork rib and nanchos. The pork rib comes with succulent meat and great tasting smoked barbeque sauce. The nanchos are covered generously with cheese and sour cream, something green and something red.. (heck, I don’t care what they’re called as long as its edible). However, I was hoping that they give discounts to ol’ customers cause the food’s price is on the high side…
But I guess the main reason anybody for being here still boils down to.. friends and beer.

I guess I have a thing for height. Guess I just like to be near the heavens and the stars.
This would be her 1st birthday out of Malaysia. I wanted to make this special for her since I felt I have not been spending enough time with her. With this two main points combined, I decided that Equinox is the answer.
(the following photos would have a model to accompany it - its the standard thing to have nowadas just like in a car show there’s a model sitting inside, on, over and around the car. Heck, even companies that sells water pumps have model to parade their products as well…)
Couple of things to take note of here. If you’re looking for ‘ai pi ai chi ai tua liap nee’ then this is definitely not the place. The main entree is not exactly the size that would keep a guys’ stomach contented in terms of volume. However, I would give ***** for ambience and service. The view is superb. Good place to chat over a glass of wine.

The lamb rack and the cod fish is meticulously prepared and the presentation is as expected of a high class restaurant. I prefer the cod fish over the lamb. However, the serving is a bit small for my tummy. Thank goodness I had some pre-dinner at Brewerkz.
Well, I wanted to start this entry as a review of the restaurant and the food itself but I guess I always have the soft spot for my gal. Oh well, that’s what is important in life rite? Relationships will last but not materials…

My time here will come to a close soon. I’ve fallen for you. There is no other place like you on earth. Who would imagine amidst the concrete jungles of Temasek there’s such a place where I could easily relate to the laid back to The Pineapple town.
This is a tribute to you o rustic place. You have seen countless couples take photos here. You’ve seen kids running around without worries of being run over by cars or kidnapped by
strangers. You see dogs running around on the street without worry of being pounded by the council (so much like Sarikei, no?). This is a place I imagine my kids can grow up where they have the same environment as their parents but having the top class facilities within their reach.

But you will be redeveloped and I can’t imagine how you would look like the next time I’m here. If I had the resources, I would definitely stay here…

Under stress, people do funny and wierd stuffs. Like smash somebody’s face with a watermelon for no particular reason. Its not even his birthday yet. All in the name of fun.
Like what we are learning now, stress can cause arousal. Overstress can cause brain damage.. due to objects being smashed to your head that is….

Ok, its study break now and I can’t concentrate. A kingfisher perched in a tree in front of my bunk. I’ve seen more kingfisher here in 5 months than I’ve seen them my entire life. Think this is their breeding ground. But soon the development of Aerospace park might change all this. Where is our world going to… save the birds, save the world… or was it save the cheerleader, save the world… now I’m confused…

If I can have a pet, I’ll have a retriever. So friendly, clever, good company, likes to pose for a photo etc. This particular dog I saw in Seletar actually barks because we didn’t play with it!
I can imagine how easy for a thief to break into my house. He (or she - nowadays gender equality is important even if the job hazard is a thief) just needs to play with the dog and walla! You’re in my house.
Only downside is you have to have landed property to keep this big dog… *sigh* Anyways, what’s your favorite pet?

One Friday evening coincidentally its Iswen’s birthday (15th June - yes, that’s Iswen’s bike on the tree- that was what happened during his Birthday), we decided to cross over to JB’s Stulang Laut for seafood. The destination is a seafood restaurant at ground floor of a Korean Restaurant.
In college, we have been mistaken as Dhafur citizens and Somalians by our Head Ground Instructor. So you can image 11 guys going on a food trip… it sounds like an event worthy of calling the press.. NTV7, Channel 5 - but no, we didn’t want that much publicity cause we humble bunch of people.
Anyways, after about 45 minutes and 18 dishes later, we were finally contented. Damage was more than we expected. Verdict- Food: OK lah. Price: They figured majority of us are not locals so its $$$ ($$$ being expensive, $$ moderate, $ cheap!).
The waiter was so happy with his business that he kept thanking us as we leave and keep saying: Please come back again! (we’d like to slaughter you guys again!)
